On Thursday, November 19, 2026, the holiday season officially starts in Green Bay. Trans-Siberian Orchestra opens its 30th anniversary winter tour at the Resch Center with a 2:30 PM matinee, the very first performance of The Ghosts of Christmas Eve tour anywhere in the country.
Trans-Siberian Orchestra, or TSO to its fans, is a progressive rock group that mixes heavy guitars with a full orchestral sound, a cast of singers and Broadway-style storytelling. The late composer and producer Paul O'Neill created TSO to push what a band could do, both musically and visually. If you have ever watched a house light show synced to a thundering rock version of a Christmas carol, you have probably heard TSO's “Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24.”
So why buy a ticket? Because a TSO show is not a regular concert. It is rock theater: a story told through music, wrapped in lasers, moving stage rigs and indoor pyrotechnics. For thousands of families, it is a holiday tradition they return to every year, and the 2026 show is a brand-new staging for the anniversary.
The popularity is hard to match. TSO has sold more than $1 billion in tickets over its career, and its winter tour is so big that the band splits into two full touring companies just to cover every city.
A track record of sold-out holiday shows
Thirty years of a holiday tradition
TSO's story began on October 15, 1996, with the release of its debut album, Christmas Eve and Other Stories. The band made its touring debut in 1999 and has never looked back.
Since then, TSO has played more than 2,000 winter tour shows for over 18 million fans. “Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24” is certified three-times platinum by the RIAA and still gets heavy radio play every December, more than three decades after it was first recorded.
Why fans come back every year
TSO works hard to make each year feel new. Music director and guitarist Al Pitrelli has said the band rebuilds and reimagines the show every season so it is bigger than the last, following Paul O'Neill's belief that fans should always get more show than they expect.
Pitrelli has also said the band wants tickets to stay within reach for families, so a night out at TSO doesn't cost as much as a mortgage payment. That focus on families is a big reason the audience spans grandparents, parents and kids in the same row.

The 2026 tour: the biggest winter run yet
The 2026 tour celebrates the 30th anniversary of The Ghosts of Christmas Eve, the story TSO first told in its TV special and DVD. The show starts with a reimagined staging of that story, then follows with a high-energy second set of holiday favorites.
It is a huge run: nearly 100 shows in more than 50 cities over about six weeks. To pull it off, TSO splits into an Eastern and a Western company, each with its own cast, crew and pyrotechnics. After Green Bay, the tour visits Denver on November 21, Colorado Springs on November 22, Las Vegas on December 4, Pittsburgh on December 19, and Detroit and Rosemont on December 23, before closing at Enterprise Center in St. Louis on December 30.
Fan club presales opened in September, and many cities have added both afternoon and evening shows to keep up with demand.

A 2:30 PM start is ideal for families with younger kids, for older fans who would rather skip a late night, and for anyone driving in from around northeast Wisconsin who wants to be home before dark. You still get the full show, with every laser, flame and guitar solo the evening crowd sees.
Opening-night shows tend to draw the most dedicated fans, and the best seats go quickly. If you want a clear view of the production, book early.
